Release Stress

If you have a high stress career or a “constantly running” lifestyle, you will need a relaxing activity to balance it out. If you don’t stop to relax, you can become overwhelmed and counterproductive. Getting a massage is one of those rare relaxing experiences that helps you find the balance between body, mind and spirit. Scheduling a relaxation massage at least once a month forces you to take a break for yourself and gives you the opportunity to plan your busy schedule around some much needed “me time.” Clients have expressed that they have been able to come up with solutions to issues they were dealing with while in the moments of relaxing clarity on the massage table.

Relieve Tension

When adhesions are present in the deep muscle tissue, the muscle can feel tense and uncomfortable. As pressure is placed on the adhesion, the knot is broken up and toxins (such as lactic acid) are encouraged to leave the muscle back into the bloodstream where they can be eliminated out of the body. This helps the muscle relax.

Blood Circulation

As the massage therapist places pressure on your muscles, the pressure forces blood to move through congested areas of the muscles, increasing blood circulation into and out of the tissue. As circulation increases, the muscle is able to more easily obtain the nutrients and oxygen it needs to operate efficiently. The tissue is also better able to get rid of waste products that can contribute to muscle pain and soreness.

The various degrees of pressure done during the session will help force blood through the more congested areas of the muscles in your body. This massage will help increase the blood circulation and help the muscle take in the nutrients and oxygen it needs. This will help not only with finding relief from tension and pain, but also help the body and muscles operate more efficiently.
